Paris Hilton; Astrologically Speaking

An Instructional Series on Natal, Solar Return, and Daily charts — Part ONE; Paris Hilton’s Natal Chart

This post introduces an “instructional series” which will present my approach to astrological analysis of natal charts, and the use of Solar Return and “in-between” daily charts for the purpose of prediction.  By the term “prediction” I really mean the timing and definition of events as determined by attitude, actions and events-situations. That definition may surprise you or it may offend you.  But consider; we have only a handful of planets, signs, houses and a few other components that we place into a chart.  How can those very few components be combined in various ways to represent the high number of events and situations that we experience in our lives?

On this blog-site, I have been demonstrating a cohesive system that recognizes the unique nature of us and our natal charts.  I have shown how the Solar Return chart can represent a theme and focus for the coming year.  And, I have demonstrated how a series of daily charts can reflect the attitude-action-situations of a given day for an individual.  As we proceed through this instructional series we will take the time to explain and examine a number of charts and interpretive methods.  I hope my visitors enjoy this.

The natal chart of Paris Hilton.  Paris Hilton was born in New York city, New York on Feb. 17, 1981 at 2:30 am according to Astrodatabank, a wiki charting resource which lists many thousands of people and their birth data.  The family of Conrad Hilton, the famous hotel founder, has benefited from the management and expansion of his hotel chain.  Much of the family fortune has been left to charities.  The heirs, such as Paris, will have access to only relatively small inheritances.

My first step in analyzing a chart is merely to look at it and note the most obvious features.  Here, my eye is drawn to the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction at the MC. This pairing is what I call the “business of life” indicator and it suggests (by itself) that Paris will be immersed in business and in running a life that will require being both an opportunist and a highly disciplined person.  This pair has a sextile aspect (60 degree angle) to Moon conjunct North Node.

Classical astrology says that the Moon’s North Node indicates where we can find growth and development opportunities.  Moon conjunct N.Node suggests (by itself) that Paris can find growth and personal satisfaction through interactions with others in 8th house matters — the 8th house representing Sex, Taxes, Inheritance, Shared Resources, etc.  I won’t comment further on this now, there are other chart factors to look at first — we will just keep this in mind.  I choose to interpret the Moon’s North Node as “how and who we associate with.”  In this case, associations with other women is indicated.

Mars makes an inconjunct (150 degrees) aspect to Jupiter-Saturn. Inconjuncts indicate a lack of harmony and a significant awkwardness in how these planets can work together–if they can work at all.  I tend to view inconjuncts as indicating a need to make big adjustments.  In this case, Mars is “ahead” of the slower moving Jupiter-Saturn pair, so it seems that Mars will need to make the adjustments.  How?  Mars in Pisces and the 3rd house suggests imagination and the inclination to share it with others.  The “adjustment” might relate to how to better manage that imagination, how to be less prone to sharing it, all so that the more balanced management of life (Jupiter-Saturn) is not compromised.  We will keeep this in mind also.

We will look further into this natal chart in the next post.  Comments can be made here on the blog site or e-mailed to me at      Dave
