On March 26, 2012 the Supreme Court started three days of hearings on the Patient Protection and Affordability Care Act which was signed two years earlier. This posting will follow several daily charts, charts with angles progressed from the 2012 Solar Return and presenting both daily transiting planets and natal planets. This form of charting is partially similar to the practices of Sidereal astrologers who follow the methods developed by Cyril Fagan and his “PSSR” charts—the difference being that Fagan used the Sidereal zodiac and progressed planets of the Solar Return while I use the progressed angles, the precession-corrected Tropical zodiac, and transiting planets in place of progressed planets. To prevent confusion of Fagan’s approach with my approach, I refer to my method as being the MC-Solar Cycle and refer to the daily charts as Progressed Daily Angles charts rather than Fagan’s PSSR or Progressed Sidereal Solar Return charts.
The Ascendant (27 Scorpio) conjoins t/N.Node, squares t/Mars — this is the most acute pattern of the chart. The action of the day (Asc.) involves the public interests (N.Node) and debate (Mars). While trines and soft aspects are not normally part of the practice in using the MC-Solar Cycle methods, the Asc.-trine-Sun pattern suggests a reliance (trine) on the national character, the authority of the President, the public policy of an established and partially implemented legal act (all represented by the Sun).
Not marked in the above chart is the CD point at 6 Cancer. This “point” is located by an arc from the MC which is equal to the arc from the Asc.-to-the-MC, and generally represents an intrusion point into one’s life or an upsetting force within a given situation. Here, the CD conjoining n/Moon opposite n/Pluto-t/Pluto represents the earlier posting’s mention of vast and hidden private interests and politics being part of proceedings. Now, none of this is supposed to be an influence within the Supreme Court, but this chart clearly says that there is a back-door influence at work here.
The daily chart’s MC (21 Virgo) is applying to a near-future conjoining with n/Uranus and t/Mercury. We might expect this to suggest a building (applying) excitement (Uranus) of speculation (Mercury). Reading these daily charts is as simple and direct as this — using keywords to build context-sensitive sentences that we can then blend into a summary statement for the day. On the other hand, t/Sun is separating from Uranus. This offers a somewhat conflicting view; Public Policy and the Health Care Act (Sun) will be moving away from an aura of public excitement. The Sun is not at an angle but it is in an angular house — it is a supportive factor to our interpretation.
So, looking back at the events of this historic Monday-Tuesday-and-Wednesday we saw a great amount of media coverage and public attention. Most notable was the Tuesday arguments concerning the mandate to have/buy insurance.
The point of these daily charts is not to provide a full astrological insight into the whole subject matter but to track the daily elements relative to the signing chart and the recent solar return. We will do those things in future posts. Dave
